Troubleshooting SkuWatch AI Visibility Agent

Resolve provider failures, partial storefront scans, missing audit results, optional permission issues, Product Fix conflicts, and storefront FAQ verification problems.

A provider failed or timed out

Open the provider status and diagnostic message. Retry when appropriate. The attempt remains failed or excluded and is not counted as a merchant non-mention. Other successful providers remain valid evidence.

The public storefront scan is partial

Review coverage and unavailable categories. Password protection, bot challenges, redirects, inaccessible product routes, or missing public evidence can prevent one or more checks. A normalized partial score must not be read as full-store coverage.

The storefront scan has no score

A password-protected or unreachable storefront, or a scan with no weighted evidence, returns no score rather than zero. Confirm the submitted URL and public availability.

A product says Not checked

Run or continue the active-SKU audit. Not checked means no saved audit result exists for that product; it is not a zero Product Readiness score.

Apply is unavailable

Confirm that the plan includes Product Fix and that optional write_products has been granted. Read-only audits, AI Visibility checks, and draft preview do not require optional write access.

Shopify changed after the preview

The server can detect a conflict between the reviewed value and the current Shopify value. Refresh the product, review the new Before state, and create a new preview instead of overwriting an unseen change.

Shopify saved the FAQ but it is not visible

Confirm that the Product FAQ app block is enabled on the product’s active Theme template and that the Theme was saved. Shopify save verification and public FAQ verification are separate states.

Undo needs review

Undo restores the app’s saved backup where supported. If a person or another app changed the same value after publication, review the current product before restoring the older backup.

Crawler access is blocked

The crawler check can show the effective robots rule and generate a suggested robots.txt.liquid template. SkuWatch cannot write the template because it does not request theme-write access. Follow Shopify’s theme workflow and run the check again.
