Evidence and accountability

Editorial policy

How the SkuWatch editor reviews Shopify AEO, GEO, AI visibility, technical guidance, public-storefront evidence, and corrections.

Who reviews this site

Articles are reviewed under the public role skuwatch editor. The role is deliberately separated from personal biographical information. Editorial responsibility belongs to SkuWatch AI Visibility Agent and questions or correction requests can be sent to [email protected].

What a technical article must show

Technical guidance should identify the Shopify surface being inspected, the expected public output, a failure mode, the risk of changing it, and a way to verify the result. Commands and code must be complete enough to reproduce the check. Platform-specific claims are tied to first-party documentation whenever it is available.

How public-storefront evidence is used

SkuWatch may inspect public product pages, crawler directives, sitemaps, structured data, visible product facts, canonical destinations, and timestamped responses from provider APIs. A public observation does not imply that a merchant is a customer, partner, sponsor, or endorser.

Every published research result should identify the URL, collection time, market or language context, method, relevant response evidence, and material limitations. A request sent with a crawler-associated User-Agent is described as a SkuWatch request; it is not presented as verified provider traffic.

AI visibility claims

A technically accessible and well-described product may have a better chance of being retrieved, compared, cited, or recommended. No storefront field guarantees an appearance in an independent answer engine. Recorded responses are bounded by their prompt, provider, model or endpoint, location, collection time, and source availability.

Product and merchant examples

Named public stores are used only when the factual claim can be checked against a public source. SkuWatch does not invent customers, reviews, rankings, endorsements, or App Store ratings. Screenshots supplied by merchants are redacted before publication and are not identified unless permission has been granted.

Dates, updates, and corrections

Articles show their publication date and, after a material revision, an updated date. A material correction changes the article itself instead of hiding the old error behind a new post. To request a correction, include the page URL, disputed statement, and supporting source in an email to [email protected].

Commercial relationship

This technical portal supports the SkuWatch AI Visibility Agent product. Product CTAs are kept separate from the evidence required to support an article’s conclusions. Installing the product is not a substitute for the manual checks documented in the guides.
