An answerable page resolves a precise question
Consider:
Can the Signal House DockPro run two external displays from an
M2 MacBook Air?
“Powerful connectivity for modern professionals” cannot answer it. The page needs supported host models, operating-system limitations, display protocols, resolutions, refresh rates, and whether software is required.
Use the question-to-fact method
| Buyer question | Required fact |
|---|---|
| Will it fit? | dimensions and fit rule |
| Will it work? | compatibility and exclusions |
| Is it safe for my use? | materials, ingredients, certifications, warnings |
| What arrives? | exact package contents |
| Can I buy it? | variant price, stock, market, delivery |
Every important question should map to a factual statement owned by someone in the business.
Make the answer visible
Facts hidden only in an image, a downloadable manual, or a tab loaded after interaction may be harder to retrieve. Put decisive facts in normal HTML text.
Semantic HTML means using meaningful headings, lists, tables, and labels rather than visually positioned text with no structure. It helps people scan the page and gives retrieval systems clearer boundaries.
Keep the named data consistent
Shopify metafields are useful for repeated facts such as material, compatible models, or dimensions. Product JSON-LD can carry standard machine-readable fields. A product feed can provide platform-specific catalog records.
Answerability fails when these sources disagree. If a visible page says a cable is included and the feed description says it is sold separately, either answer may be repeated.
State the boundary
Good answers include “no” and “only if.”
Supports one external display on M2 MacBook Air in standard mode.
Dual display requires DisplayLink software. Power adapter not included.
This language reduces overclaiming and support tickets.
Test without technical tools
Give the page to a colleague who does not know the product. Ask five questions and require answers with exact quoted facts and page sections. Any answer that depends on company knowledge rather than public content identifies a gap.
Then ask a developer to verify that critical identity, offer, and compatibility fields remain consistent in structured sources. See Create Shopify evidence pages for the implementation path.
