The product and collector question

Lantern Archive sells the Night Signal Series 4 vinyl figure.

The buyer asks:

Is Night Signal Series 4 an officially licensed, numbered edition?
How many were made, what is included, when does it ship, and will
sold-out units be restocked?

“Limited” does not answer any of those questions.

Define the edition

Publish:

Fact Product value
license name the rights holder and scope if authorized
edition size 1,500 units, if fixed and approved
numbering individually numbered 1-1,500, or state not numbered
dimensions figure and package dimensions
materials vinyl figure, paperboard box
included figure, display base, certificate if actually included
condition new, sealed
purchase limit two per customer
release state in stock, preorder, or sold out

Do not imply that an open preorder is a fixed edition unless production is capped.

Separate dates

Collectors need:

  • order-opening date
  • order-closing date
  • estimated ship window
  • release date
  • delay update date

A preorder is not InStock. Structured availability and visible labels must reflect the actual purchase state allowed by the platform and store policy.

Explain authenticity

If there is a certificate, hologram, serialized label, or license mark, state what it verifies. Do not suggest blockchain or a printed card proves more than it does.

Link the official brand or license announcement where available. Keep product naming consistent across the license page, package, Shopify title, SKU, and feed.

This stable naming supports entity matching, the process of connecting references to the same product.

Handle sold-out pages correctly

Keep useful sold-out product pages public when policy permits. State:

  • sold-out status
  • whether restock is planned
  • whether another edition would differ
  • warning about unauthorized secondary sellers, if appropriate
  • official archive information

Do not leave stale Offer data saying InStock.

Rewrite the launch copy

Before:

Ultra rare. Get it before it is gone forever.

After:

Officially licensed Night Signal Series 4 vinyl figure. Fixed edition
of 1,500 individually numbered units. Includes display base and
numbered certificate. Orders are limited to two per customer.
Estimated shipping: October 2026. No restock of this numbered edition
is planned.

Use only facts the merchant can honor.

Acceptance questions

  1. Is the edition fixed, open, or timed?
  2. Is every unit numbered?
  3. What proves official licensing?
  4. Is the item in stock or preorder?
  5. What exactly is included?
  6. Will the same edition be restocked?
  7. What happens if the ship window changes?

Technical follow-up: Shopify product availability values and Shopify price differs between page and JSON-LD.
